What is Biotin?

Biotin (also called Vitamin B7 or Vitamin H) is a water-soluble B vitamin that plays an important role in energy metabolism, the formation of fatty acids, and protein synthesis.

Functions of Biotin

  • Supports carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism
  • Promotes healthy hair, skin, and nails
  • Important for nerve system function
  • Involved in cell division

Biotin After Bariatric Surgery
